Overview

Oceana is a nonprofit organization that focuses on restoring the oceans, protecting ocean wildlife, promoting ethical fishing, and stopping ocean pollution. Oceana is also the world’s largest ocean conservation organization.

Case Study

The purpose of this project was to design a pocket folder for an organization that is worth keeping, but also conveys what the organization stands for. This project started with pure research that consisted of figuring out the targeted audience of Oceana, Oceana’s competitors and research on the organization itself. After thorough research, I was able to brainstorm the color palette, font, and the overall style of the pocket folder. The light to dark blue background represents the depths of the ocean and the white illustrations of the ocean wildlife conveys a sense of purity and cleanliness that Oceana hopes to bring to the oceans.
